(10/24/12) Sun-Belt Conference coaches voted the Mean Green's Tony Mitchell the league's preseason Player Of The Year, and choose North Texas as the favorite to win the Sun Belt's West Division.A year ago in league play, Mitchell led the Sun Belt in scoring (15.9 PPG), rebounding (11.8 RPG), 3-point percentage (47.1) and blocks (3.1 BPG), and was second in field goal percentage (58.1).

CBS Sports Names NT's Tony Mitchell Preseason All-American

CBS joins Basketball Times Magazine, Athlon Sports, Lindy's Sports and the ESPN Blue Ribbon Report in bestowing such honors on Mitchell, who averaged a double-double last year in his freshman season.
